Our career course offers those wanting to enter into the world of floristry a great foundation on which to build their new career. We offer you the skills to help you start your new business, with marketing, branding, social media, business planning and funding options to name just a few. We teach you the practical skills required to become a commercial florist in today's market as well as advice on current trends. We nurture your talent during the weeks you spend with us, ensuring that your confidence is sky high by the time you leave. And our support doesn't end there, we understand that it can be daunting to start out on your own, (we did it too!) so we're at the end of the phone or email to guide you through those first few weeks. We encourage you to stay in touch and keep us up to date with how your new business is progressing.

WEEK ONE covers all aspects of commercial floristry including colour, design and proportion, ordering, costing and conditioning through to the practical hands on (the best bit!) of hand-tied bouquets, vase arrangements, oasis work, funeral pieces and window dressing.

WEEK TWO is all about wedding flowers. From bridal consultations, costings and quotations through to buttonholes, corsages, bridal bouquets, church flowers, venue dressing and lots of inspirational ideas for you to begin designing your own commercial wedding flowers.

WEEK THREE we step away from the practical and concentrate on our business skills, exploring branding, marketing, social media, advertising, business planning and of course building that all important shop window - your website. We also pay a visit to the world renouned New Covent Gardn Flower market. Rona Wheeldon, award winning flower blogger gives an informative tour around the market introducing you to the all important flower suppliers.

WEEK FOUR is all about you and your ideas presented in your final interpretation. You will design and create your own wedding flowers without the pressure of a 'real' bride! We will guide you through the process from mood boards, costing and ordering to producing your final floral designs.
